Correspondence, 1806-1815.

The correspondence of the militia of the Mississippi Territory consists of petitions to the Governor, letters from militiamen, from such areas as Fort Stoddart, to Governor David Holmes, lists of appointed and commissioned officers, correspondence concerning the Choctaw and Chickasaw Indians, drawings of the order in which the troops will march, petitions by soldiers against the march towards Creek Indian towns, and other correspondence which depicts the functions and activities of the Militia of the Mississippi Territory.
